Jefferson County 4-H Royalty Contest

The Jefferson County 4-H County Council and Program Advisory Committee will be sponsoring a 4-H Royalty Contest at the Jefferson County Fair in July. Each club is encouraged to select contestants for the contest. There will be four age based catagories: Queen 13-18 years old, King 13-18 years old, Princess 8-12 years old, and Prince 8-12 years old. A contestant profile will be required (form will be sent to organizational leaders.) The profile and a photo will be required by June1.

During the week of the fair people will vote for their choice (1 penny equals 1 vote) those receiving the most votes will be crowned on Saturday, July 24.
The four winners will each receive a savings bond.

2010 Jefferson County Kick-off

The Jefferson County 4-H Kick-off will be held on Friday, March 12 at 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM at the Brookville Lanes, Route 322 West of Brookville.

4-H Capital Days

The 46th Annual 4-H Capital Days will be held from April 25-27, 2010. 4-H members who have passed their 15th birthday by January 1, 2010 and who had a minimum of one year in 4-H are eligible to apply.

Contact the Jefferson County Extension Office for an application and complete details. There is a 500 word essay due by February 1.
